Gender Development of
Ukrainian Society
Research: Ukrainian government gender
politics and its provision in legislation
Gender Analysis of political relations
and Elections 2002

TOR “Gender Development of Ukrainian Society”)
Duration – 6 weeks (November 2002 – December
2002)
Required experience and
qualifications:
- University
education in social sciences, economy, development or related field
- Scientific
records – published articles, books
- Experience
in the area of research in the area of gender in politics
- Competence
in UN system approach to gender and human development
- Experience
in cooperation with international organizations
- Participation
in the first Gender Analysis of Ukrainian Society, gender monitoring of
legislation, development of gender education curricula will be an asset
Expected results
- 1)
Research “Governmental gender politics and its provision in legislation” and
2) Research “Gender Analysis of political relations and Elections 2002 reflecting the progress in gender
relations in Ukrainian society during the last four years, backed up by
up-dated statistical data and containing concrete recommendations for policy
makers on gender mainstreaming.
- Word
texts of the two chapters (up to 25 computer pages, font 12 each) in Ukrainian
language.
- Graphics,
tables, diagrams, pictures for illustrating designated.
Special
conditions:
The researchers/authors have to be prepared
work closely with gender experts of the Programme “Supporting Equitable Access
to Opportunities”, have regular weekly meetings with the programme management,
be ready to cooperate on introducing necessary amendments to their research on
request of the programme manager or expert on gender
politics.
