The project envisages producing printed publication “Gender Development of Ukrainian Society” for policy makers and general public interested in looking at our society through gender lens.

The new publication will reflect the progress in gender relations in Ukrainian society during the last four years. The book will contain the latest gender research supported by UNDP gender programme.

Goal:

Gender Development of Ukrainian Society aims to increase the capacity for gender mainstreaming in national policies and programmes as well as to raise awareness of wide Ukrainian public on gender issues.

Target groups of the project:

· Deputies of all levels, representatives of governmental organizations and institutions involved in solving of gender problems in Ukraine and taking decisions for making gender equality a reality;

· State employees of all levels, representatives of non-governmental organizations;

· Teachers, researchers, students of all levels

· Representatives of print and electronic media, employees of libraries, general public

Required experience and qualifications:

· At least 5 years of successful work in the publishing/printing market of Ukraine

· Experience in working with UNDP or other international organizations

· Availability of modern printing equipment and technology

· Ability to provide client with full range of services of publishing house including Ukrainian language editing, book design and lay-outing, prove-reading.

Expected results

· Edited, designed and printed publication, expected 152 pages, format 60/84 1/8, 1000 copies, 4 colored cover page, 2 colored inside; paper for cover 230 g/m2, inside 115 g/m2

Publishers have to send their proposals accompanied with samples of their relevant production.
