to fill in a position of Administrative Assistant/Interpreter for its
project “Improvement of Border Controls at the Moldovan-Ukrainian State Border –
BOMMOLUK-1”

Duties and responsibilities:
Under
direct supervision of the Customs Training and Standards Coordinator the
incumbent will discharge the following functions:
·
To
assure smooth operational running of the project by means of following UNDP and
EC established operational rules and procedures;
·
To
provide oral and written translations from English into Ukrainian or Russian and
vice versa as required by the project;
·
To
proofread and/or edit the project’s correspondence and other official documents;
·
To collect,
analyze and prepare background information for the project;
·
To
participate in project activities preparation, implementation and follow up;
·
To
contribute to the preparation of the project bulletins and promotion materials;
·
To
participate in data collection, analysis and maintenance of project related
files; to prepare official correspondence;
·
To
maintain updated networks of project counterparts, contractors, consultants and
suppliers;
·
To
maintain contacts with governmental and non-governmental institutions, local
authorities, NGOs, academia, etc.
·
To
facilitate project audit, monitoring, evaluation, field visits, missions of the
experts;
·
To
provide logistical support (travel arrangements, including visas, tickets, etc.)
to the project team;
·
To
facilitate project related training/learning activities;
·
To
perform other functions/tasks when required.
7.
Basic requirements for the incumbent:
·
University
degree, preferably in Linguistics with English being a major;
·
At
least 3 years of progressive experience in relevant field, preferably in
international environment;
·
Excellent
fluency (both oral and written) in the English, Ukrainian and Russian languages;
·
Experience
with technical assistance projects is an asset;
·
Ability
to work in team;
·
Ability
to work under continuous pressure and meet deadlines;
·
Energetic
optimistic approach to all possible problems;
·
Strong
computer skills.
