TERMS OF REFERENCE
- Position Title: Counter-Trafficking Web Content Administrator
- Unit: Counter-Trafficking
- Grade: Contract Position
- Duty Station: Kyiv, Ukraine
- Duration: 12 month with possibility of extension (three-month
probation)
General Functions: Under
the overall guidance of the Chief of Mission and the supervision of the
Counter-Trafficking Programme Coordinator, the Web Content Administrator will
be responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of the Programme
Against Human Trafficking in Eastern and South Eastern Europe funded
by the Royal Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs
through the content design and maintenance of the dedicated public internet site
focusing on this project. He/She will with a web designer/developer to make this
web site professional in appearance, functional, interactive and easily
navigable. This person will take a
leadership role in fostering user/stakeholders input in the enhancement of the
web site to ensure visibility of the programme and its activities. He/She
will, in consultation with other stakeholders, be responsible for the accuracy,
timely updating, continued development of the design and messaging to convey a
consistent message, which is aligned with the objectives of the
programme.
Specific Functions:
Responsible for the initial design and structure of the programme website
by selecting and working with a web designer/developer.
Ensures that all documents meet established content standards and works
with developers to assess any technical challenges in displaying the
content.
Develops and provides content for the organization's web site.
Writes, edits, and proofreads new content.
Ensure that information contained within each document is accurate, peer
reviewed, and regularly updated.
Ensure the quality and integrity of the documents published.
Functions as the liaison between the programme management team and
internal IT group.
Manages incoming information submission and updating activities
onto the website.
Keep up to date with best practice in web usability, web page design and
writing for the web.
Ensure linked information resources are kept relevant, appropriate,
etc…
Ensure the metadata standards as specified are implemented in all
applications and content.
Maintain a database on the website of programme activities, outputs and
results for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
Other duties as assigned.
Desired qualification:
- 4 -year degree in English, Journalism, Graphic Design, or
Communications.
- Experience in electronic/web publishing or web editing;
content management or Internet research highly regarded.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Analytical and process improvement skills a must.
- Good communication, interpersonal and organizational
skills.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English an
absolute requirement.
- Ability
to work efficiently and calmly under pressure.
Languages:
Fluent Ukrainian, Russian and English.
