United Nations Development Program Office is seeking
highly a qualified professional to fill in position of
Administrative Coordinator
(located in Kyiv and later onwards possibly in Odessa) (equivalent to P3)
Under the supervision of the Regional Programme Coordinator in Kyiv,
the incumbent will be responsible for administrative support and management of a
European Commission funded and border management related programme. He/she will
be in charge of all administrative aspects related to the programme office. The
Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the timely
delivery of planned activities, deployment of human and financial
resources.
The Administrative Coordinator may be asked specifically on an ad-hoc
basis to support the preparation and implementation of other UNDP projects in
related areas.
In particular, the
Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Establishment and proper functioning of the programme
office;
- Under the guidance of the Regional Programme
Coordinator and Procurement Officer, procurement of office equipment,
furniture and consumables;
- Coordination and supervision of the distribution of
outgoing and incoming correspondence;
- Ensuring compliance with UNDP administrative and
financial procedures for project implementation;
- Ensuring collection and filing of all documents;
- Assisting the Regional Programme Coordinator in
preparing reports (including financial reports);
- Assisting the Regional Programme Coordinator in
organising and implementing of all programme activities;
- Participating in coordination meetings and all
meetings deemed necessary or requested by the donor;
- On an ad-hoc basis, supporting the preparation and implementation of other
UNDP projects in related areas.
Indicative
profile:
- Citizen of the European Union, Ukraine or Moldova;
- Degree/diploma in management;
- Experience in the implementation of international
technical assistance projects, ideally related to border management / justice,
freedom and security in the CIS countries, in particular in Ukraine and/or
Moldova;
- Familiarity with UNDP rules and procedures would be a
good asset;
- Very good knowledge of the political situation in
Ukraine and Moldova;
- Excellent command in English and Russian, knowledge of
Ukrainian or Moldovan (Romanian) is an asset;
- Excellent drafting and reporting skills;
- Experience in the implementation and requirements of
European Union assistance programmes is an asset;
- Knowledge of implementation of assistance programmes
in the UN family (UNDP, UNHCR, IOM, etc.) is an asset;
- Already established contacts to Ukrainian and/or Moldovan Border Guard
and/or Customs Services are an asset.
