The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) invites applications for the post of the Assistant/Secretary at the UNFPA Ukraine Country Office.

The incumbent will be working at the UNFPA Country Office in Kiev. He/she will be responsible for administrative and secretarial support to implementation of UNFPA technical assistance projects in Ukraine.

Conceptual Functions

· Secretarial and administrative support to UNFPA operations in Ukraine

· Support relevant activities of other UNFPA project staff

Operational Functions

· Collects information, maintains records and prepares documentation and correspondence pertaining to UNFPA operation in Ukraine

· Prepares and maintains official documentation on UNFPA projects and related to the Country Office operations

· Provides communications support for the UNFPA Country Office

· Makes operational arrangements for UNFPA office and projects

· Manages UNFPA office related matters, including maintenance of equipment, furniture, stationery etc.

· Manages the UNFPA inventory list, including equipment procured under UNFPA projects

· Provides interpreting and translation for UNFPA and other international missions

· Perform other UNFPA administrative duties assigned by the UNFPA Representative and UNFPA Programme Coordinator

Qualifications

· Complete secondary education, supplementary training in administration is an asset

· Good knowledge of UNFPA policies and procedures

· Minimum two years experience related to implementation of international projects

· Ability to work harmoniously in an international and multicultural environment

· Good communication skills

· Good working knowledge of English, fluency in Russian and Ukrainian

· Candidates must be nationals of Ukraine
