Work

Duties
and responsibilities:
Under direct
supervision of the Head of Field Office the incumbent will discharge the
following functions:
·
Provides oral
and written translations from English into Ukrainian or Russian and vice versa
as required by the project;
·
Assures smooth
operational running of the project by means of following UNDP and EC established
operational rules and procedures;
·
Participates
in project activities preparation, implementation and follow up;
·
Provides
logistical support (travel arrangements, including visas, tickets, etc.) to the
project team;
·
Facilitates
the process of procurement and delivery of goods and services;
·
Facilitates
project audit, monitoring, evaluation, field visits, missions of the experts;
·
Maintains
updated networks of project counterparts, contractors, consultants and
suppliers;
·
Participates
in data collection, analysis and maintenance of projects related files;
·
Assures that
the progress reporting is done in timely and quality manner based on the
requirements of the UNDP and project donors;
·
Maintains
contacts with UNDP
CO on a variety of the operational
issues;
·
Contributes to
the preparation of the project bulletins, promotion materials and project
web-site update;
·
Facilitates
project outreach/communication efforts;
·
Prepares
project related correspondence;
·
Proofreads
and/or edit the project’s correspondence and other official documents;
·
Performs other
functions/tasks when required.
Basic
requirements for the incumbent:
- University degree, preferably in Linguistics with English
being major specialisation;
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in project
management, preferably in international environment;
- Excellent fluency (both oral and written) in the English,
Ukrainian and Russian languages;
- Experience with technical assistance projects is an asset;
- Ability to work in team;
- Ability to work under continuous pressure and meet
deadlines;
- Energetic optimistic approach to all possible problems;
- Strong computer
skills.
