United Nations Development Program Office is seeking highly qualified professional to fill in position of Interpreter (Spanish-Russian).

5. Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide interpretation and written translation of materials during the 1-week training on management of technical assistance projects for Ukrainian and Belarussian border guards in Spain, which will be provided by the Civil Guard of Spain.

6. Experience and Qualifications:

- University degree in Spanish philology

- At least 5 years of relevant experience as interpreter/translator of Spanish

- Knowledge and practical experience with technical assistance projects

- Previous work experience with UNDP and/or other international organisations is an asset

- Experience in border management issues and knowledge of professional terminology is an asset

- Fluency in Russian

- Excellent interpersonal and communication and writing skills, ability to think clearly and precisely articulate

- Valid foreign passport

- Availability on 21 July – 28 July 2002
