United Nations Development Program Office is seeking highly qualified professional to fill in position of IT Support Manager

6. Functions and responsibilities:

Under overall supervision of the project management and under direct supervision of the project administrative assistant the incumbent is in charge of the following:

· The project web-site design and continuous update.

· Preparation of the informational materials for the web-site and placing it on the web-pages

· Preparation of the reports and photo-reports for the events and placing them on the web-site and leaflets.

· Monitoring of the relevance of the information submitted for the web-site, editing and lay-out of the information.

· Maintain contacts with the UN office in Ukraine on the issues related to the web-site and ICT4D.

· Day-to-day maintenance of the projects IT resources.

· Introduction and implementation of the new technologies for the project and web-site.

· Provide continuous advice and expertise on computer-related issues to the project.

· To ensure and maintain full operational status of the project Internet-servers, and mail host, and project equipment.

· Day to day maintenance of all project computers and network hardware and software.

When requested to accomplish the following:

· Installation, set up and configuration of the project computer equipment to full operational capacity.

· Train and support project staff in all varieties of tasks that require the use of the office computers (reports, graphics, electronic mail etc.).

· Provide assistance to the project staff in preparation of the reports, presentations and web-site up-date;

· Assure required equipment and settings for the presentations;

· Installation of all necessary hardware and software to ensure full integration and interoperability.

· Maintenance of the computer and telephone systems.

· Maintenance and periodic upgrade of all software resources.

· Technical maintenance and periodic upgrade of the e-mail software.

· Technical support, change cartridges and service of the printers.

· Check for computer viruses and periodic upgrade of the anti-virus software.

· Development and implementation of the Internet resources including: databases, WWW server etc.

· Prompt processing of all requests for technical assistance and project hardware/software trouble shouting.

· Recording and filing of all information related to the project hardware, software, its repairing, guarantees.

· Perform other functions/tasks when required.

7. Basic requirements for the incumbent:

· Proactive and energetic

· Excellent professional/technical skills in the area of IT, System Administration

· Relevant experience for at least 3 years (preferably within the international organization)

· A good team-player

· Good communication skills.

· Good knowledge of English is a must.

· Skills: MS Office 2000, Dreamweaver, Flash, Frontpage, Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Framemaker, Pagemaker), QuarkXpress.
