to fill in a position of Administrative Assistant/Interpreter for its project “EU
Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine” (EUBAM)

7. Duties
and responsibilities:
Under
direct supervision of the Head of Field Office the incumbent will discharge the
following functions:
- Assures smooth operational running of the project by means
of following UNDP and EC established operational rules and procedures;
- Participates in project activities preparation,
implementation and follow up;
- Provides logistical support (travel arrangements,
including visas, tickets, etc.) to the project team;
- Facilitate the process of procurement and delivery of
goods and services;
- Facilitates project audit, monitoring, evaluation, field
visits, missions of the experts;
- Maintain updated networks of project counterparts,
contractors, consultants and suppliers;
- Prepares project related correspondence;
- Participates in data collection, analysis and maintenance
of projects related files;
- Assures that the progress reporting is done in timely and
quality manner based on the requirements of the UNDP and project donors;
- Maintains contacts with UNDP CO on a variety of the
operational issues;
- Contributes to the preparation of the project bulletins,
promotion materials and project web-site update;
- Facilitates project outreach/communication efforts;
- Provides oral and written translations from English into
Ukrainian or Russian and vice versa as required by the project;
- Proofreads and/or edit the project’s correspondence and
other official documents;
- Performs
other functions/tasks when required.
8. Basic
requirements for the incumbent:
- University degree, preferably in Linguistics;
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in project
management, preferably in international environment;
- Excellent fluency (both oral and written) in the English,
Ukrainian and Russian languages;
- Experience with technical assistance projects is an asset;
- Ability to work in team;
- Ability to work under continuous pressure and meet
deadlines;
- Energetic optimistic approach to all possible problems;
- Strong
computer skills.
